Seasons Greetings! Happy Holidays to all of my beautiful people out there! I am glad to say I made it through another year in good health and spirits! This is the time of year that my friends and family are asking me what I want for christmas. I tell everybody the same thing don’t get anything for me. They are like naw guuuurl, I want to get you something. I respond don’t trip because I am not going to get you anything. They look at me like I know she didn’t just say that. It’s easier to just hang out and have fun during the holiday season instead of trying to buy er’ybody something. The worst is when somebody gets you something and you didn’t expect it, now they trying to see if you are going to pull something out of your bag,but you just stand there looking crazy! So to all of my friends and family spend your money on the lil kids because in all honesty I can buy my own stuff. Now that I got that off of my shoulder lets move on. Just the other day someone asked me what was the best gift I ever got during the holidays, after thinking long and hard I figured it out. It was my mom. Yep, you read it right. I realized that my mom is someone that gives 365 days a year not just on a birthday, christmas or some other holiday. She picks me up when I fall down, she holds my hand when I’m in doubt, she calms me down when I’m talking foolish. Prime example, I was going to put someone on blast in this issue of the newspaper because they failed to pay me for 2 boxes of business cards and some flyers. She made me realize that I was bigger than that. Why even waste my time and energy on something so foolish because when people are dirty they get theirs in the end. It may not be today or tomorrow or even in the next year, but eventually their time comes. With all of the blessings in my future and the annointing in my heart...I am gonna be alright. My mom raised me to be respectful and to value good old fashion morals and that is something I will never forget and when I have children I will pass that along to them. Every since I was a lil girl she has been there for me always close by. When I came out to Arizona to attend college from Illinois I cried because I had never been by myself without her. It was scary going somewhere new and not knowing anybody. I started Arizona State in August my mom quit her good job in Illinois and moved out to Phoenix in October of the same year. I was so happy she was here and we got to eat Thanksgiving together like old times. So when someone asked me what the best gift I ever got it is my Mama hands down the gift that keeps giving. I love you Mama and this holiday season I want to thank you for being there for me all these years. I recommend everyone take time out and call someone you love and let them know that they have made a difference in your life.

My Dear Mama.....
