Barack Obama introduces Joseph Biden as his running mate

Obama officially announced Joe Biden as his running mate on Saturday in Springfield Illinois. The rally kicked off a tour of several battleground states before Obama attends the Democratic National Convention in Denver, where he Biden will be nominated. Saturday’s event was held at the same site where Obama officially launched his presidential campaign on a cold day in February 2007 – Illinois’ historic Old State Capitol, where Abraham Lincoln began his rise as a revered political leader.
